Little Dancer

My granddaughter’s recital was terrific fun!

I can’t believe it!!

I just saw a lightning bug!!  We haven’t seen any for several years, and it made us so sad, but there it was, flying along, lighting up here and there..and…where there’s ONE lightning bug, there HAS to be another, right!?

Take a look at this site for some amazing photos -

Happy Grandson!

He has been whacking away on Uncle Jonathan’s drum and cymbal…mercy on us!   Talk about loud!!  But he’s very happy ‘playing’ the drums.  He also is very happy flinging cars down a ramp (AKA the slide we got several years ago and my husband has yet to install) and crashing the cars into each other.

Painted Buntings!

I saw my painted bunting female a while ago!   I must get some meal worms put out, and the cat brought inside…

Found it

I found this year’s psycho deer’s little dead fawn – so tiny…way up the drive and nowhere near the fence line she keeps running along.  So sad, but why repeatedly charge at our dogs?  Why does she not go up where the fawn is, and hang around there?  It’s very sad, but it makes no sense.

Marigold Poses

She’s much more trusting than Manfred…he would not pose for me at all.

She is a pretty little goatie, and Manfred is a very handsome little buckling….just doesn’t like being still long enough for his photo to be taken.

Psycho deer is back!  I don’t know if it’s the same one we’ve had  in the past … one psycho deer looks much the same as the next.    She was charging the fence and the dogs and taunting them for about an hour.   I finally put the dogs up, but she is still out there, waiting.  My grandson is coming over for a few days – I’ll be afraid for him to go outside and play!  It’s too muddy anyway, from all the monsoons we’ve had the past several days and nights.  He’ll just have to stay on the porches, or I’ll have to go out and stand guard while he plays in the sandbox.

Button heads…again

Marigold and Manfred had their horn buds burned off this morning.  All is well.  I’ll get pics later, as the rain is really pelting down right now.

Another monsoon

Goodness gracious, what a lot of rain!  It’s like someone turned a giant hose on the world!  There’s a bit of thunder and lightning, too., so I should probably shut down my computer.  It’s a good thing my husband got up before me – he always turns on the lights (I just stumble around in the dark).  Two of the dogs had thrown up, so we’ve been cleaning the floor….what fun.  Monsoons and floor cleaning.  WOW, and big thunder!

Happy Mother’s Day!

I have heard from all my children and my grandchildren, so my day has been great!

My eldest, Melissa, got me a beautiful hand made garden flower that I absolutely love!

Sunflowers

Don’t they make you feel happy?  These came up on their own, in what used to be my garden.
